Before you decide

Not sure this is your right first move?

Then don't decide yet. Score yourself across 18 body systems, see which ones are actually carrying something, and find out where you sit. About five minutes, free, and nothing you enter is stored or sent anywhere.

If your score comes back low, I will tell you that you do not need this.

The difference

This is not just
another cleanse…

A cleanse is what people reach for when they want to lose weight or simply feel better.

It usually means fasting, juicing, or cutting out a list of foods for a week. And cleanses can be great for a short-term reset — you will feel lighter, you will drop a few pounds of water.

But a cleanse is not addressing the root cause of the issue. Nothing has changed underneath. The load is still there. Which is why the weight comes back, and the bloating comes back, usually within a fortnight.

That is where a detox comes in.

The 21-Day Functional Medicine Detox supports Phase 1 and Phase 2 liver detoxification — the two-stage process your body uses to actually neutralise and remove toxins, spent hormones and metabolic waste, rather than just shuffling them around.

It was built to address the underlying causes keeping you from feeling the way you used to feel, at the weight you know you should be.

Uses science & nature

A cleanse can shift the surface. Only a detox is built to change what is underneath it.

The reason this matters: most people who come to me have already tried harder. More cardio, fewer calories, longer stints of discipline. It felt responsible, and it made things worse — because effort was never the missing piece. The protocol was the thing that was wrong, not you.

The world we live in

With well over 100,000 man-made chemicals in our environment, we are being inundated daily and it doesn’t seem to be getting better.

These toxins are in our food, water, cookware, cleaning supplies, beauty products, plastic, toothpaste, furniture, and even the air we breathe!

Our livers simply cannot keep up with this influx of toxins so our bodies store them away in our fat tissue and organs which lead to weight gain, inflammation, and dis-ease.

None of this is meant to scare you or diminish your hope, but it’s the reality of the world we live in and we need to be proactive so that we can live a long and healthy life.

The mechanism

Why your liver
cannot keep up

We live in a toxic world with over 100,000 man-made chemicals in circulation. Whether you notice it or not, your total toxic load is building every single day.

Think of your body as a rain barrel. Every exposure adds a little water — the air, the water supply, the food supply, plastics, cookware, skincare, cleaning products, alcohol, medications, mould, heavy metals. Your liver empties the barrel, and for years it copes.

Then the rate coming in exceeds the rate going out, and the barrel overflows. That overflow is what you are feeling. Your liver can only do so much on its own. At some point it has to be supported.

Detoxification happens in two stages. Phase 1 breaks a toxin down. Phase 2 binds it to something water-soluble so it can actually leave. Support only Phase 1 and you generate reactive intermediates with nowhere to go — which is precisely why some people feel dreadful on a random cleanse. Both phases have to be supported together, in the right order.

From there it exits through four pathways, and every one of them needs to be working.

The four elimination pathways
Bile
via stool
Urine
via kidneys
Sweat
via skin
Breath
via lungs

Block one pathway and the load re-circulates. The protocol opens all four before it asks the liver to work harder.

Where the load is coming from
Food & water
Pesticide residue, additives, refined sugar, tap water contaminants
Plastics
Bottles, food packaging, receipts, non-stick cookware
Home & air
Cleaning products, air fresheners, mould, traffic pollution
On your skin
Skincare, deodorant, fragrance, cosmetics, hair products
Alcohol
Even moderate intake competes directly for liver capacity
Medications
Long-term use adds a standing detoxification demand
Heavy metals
Mercury, lead, aluminium, cadmium — they accumulate and stay
Your own hormones
Spent oestrogen the liver failed to clear gets reabsorbed
The symptoms of toxicity accumulation

How these toxins
affect us all

Depending on your genetics, the overflow shows up differently in different people. These are the most common signs of toxic overload I see, week in and week out.

!Weight gain
!Water retention / puffiness
!Joint pain
!Skin issues
!Brain fog
!Low mood
!Low thyroid
!Hormone imbalances
!Autoimmune issues
!Poor sleep
!Sugar cravings
!Gut dysfunction

You can probably relate to some of the symptoms above, and that is because most of us have accumulated too many toxins over a lifetime. Again — your liver can only do so much. It has to be supported.

The problem is that most people have absolutely no idea where to start. We were never taught how to be healthy. We were taught to push through, and to accept that this is just what your forties feel like.

So you go to the doctor. Your bloods come back inside the reference range, you are told you are normal, and you are sent home — still bloated, still foggy, still waking up tired.

Normal is not the same as optimal. A standard reference range is built from a population that is largely unwell. I read your numbers against functional and optimal ranges, which is where the answer usually was the whole time.

Outcomes

The benefits you
will experience

This is the reset your body and mind have been asking for. And weight loss is only one of the benefits.

In the first 7 days you will start to experience
Weight loss
Reduced joint pain
Clearer skin
A clear and healthy mind
Better sleep
Balanced hormones
Less bloating
Balanced blood sugar
Across the full 21 days these compound
Fat loss that holds
Especially around the midsection — and it stays off, because the cause moved, not just the water.
Digestion that settles
Constant bloating gone. Regular, predictable, and no longer the thing that dictates your day.
Hormone congestion cleared
Spent oestrogen actually leaves the body instead of being reabsorbed and re-circulated.
Cravings switched off
Blood sugar stops swinging, so the 4pm sugar hunt stops being a willpower problem.
Inflammation and puffiness down
Face, ankles, hands. Most people see this one in the mirror before the scale moves.
Control, back
A renewed sense of discipline over your own health, and a clean slate to build the next phase on.

It is not a quick fix — it is a metabolic reset. The scale is the least interesting thing that changes. What most people notice first is that they wake up before the alarm, and the 4pm crash simply does not arrive.

The protocol

How the 21 days work

Two phases. A structured daily format. Nothing is left to you to figure out at six o'clock when you have stopped deciding and started defaulting.

Week one, days 1–2 · Open the pathways
Two liquid days

Week one opens with two liquid days on nutritional shakes. This is not starvation — you are fed, and the shakes carry the amino acids and antioxidants the liver needs to run Phase 2. Taking digestion off the table for 48 hours frees up the capacity to clear.

Days 3–21 · Clear and rebuild
Shakes plus clean whole-food meals

Real meals come back for lunch and dinner while the protocol keeps working. This is the stretch that does the heavy lifting, and where people stop noticing they are on a detox at all — it just becomes how they eat.

The shape of the three weeks
Week one
2 liquid days, then 5 meal days
Week two
Optional 2 liquid days, then meal days
Week three
Optional 2 liquid days, then meal days

Week one always opens with the two liquid days. Repeating them in weeks two and three is optional — we decide together, based on how week one went and what you are after.

What comes out

Temporarily — to give the body the break it needs to reset and repair.

  • Gluten
  • Dairy
  • Eggs
  • Red meat and pork
  • Caffeine and alcohol
  • Processed food and refined sugar, including fruit juice
  • Soy and corn
  • Heavy starches — pasta, bread, white rice
What you will actually eat

Real food, easy to digest, and built around blood sugar staying flat.

  • Wild-caught fish, organic poultry, plant proteins
  • Vegetables, in volume
  • Low-glycaemic fruit
  • Healthy fats
  • Nutrient-dense shakes, morning and afternoon
  • A structured meal plan and shopping list — written for you
What to expect

The detox method
day by day

Your daily detox schedule: days 1 and 2 are four 600ml shakes with all four supplements morning and evening; days 3 to 7 are two shakes plus a plant-based lunch and a paleo or plant-based dinner.

As you can see, the plan is simple. That is deliberate — I built it so you get the benefit without having to think about it, with nothing left to decide at six o'clock in the evening. Across the 21 days you are going to experience the healthiest version of yourself.

It is all laid out for you before you start, and I adjust it with you in writing every week. This is the same protocol I run with my own clients — and I would like you to be the next one telling me what changed.

I look forward to hearing your success story.
What you get

You are not handed
a box and left to it

Anyone can sell you a detox. The difference here is that a practitioner reads your case first, and then stays with you for all 21 days.

1 · Intake and case review
Everything on the table — symptoms, history, what you have already tried and why each attempt failed. I tell you whether a detox is even the right first move for you.
2 · Your protocol pack
Practitioner-grade nutritional support and herbal liver, blood sugar and detox support — dosed and sequenced for your case, from professional suppliers.
3 · Meal plan and shopping list
All 21 days mapped out, with a shopping list you can hand to whoever does the food. Adapted to how you actually eat — including South Asian and vegetarian households.
4 · A daily structure
What to take, when, and what to do on the day it goes sideways. No decisions left for six o'clock in the evening.
5 · Weekly written adjustment
Every week, in writing, on WhatsApp. What moved, what did not, and what changes this week. Plus direct access when something comes up.
6 · Symptom and marker tracking
We score your symptoms at day 0, day 7 and day 21, so the result is written down rather than remembered. Where labs are in play, I read them against optimal ranges.
7 · Structured reintroduction
The most valuable part, and the part everyone skips. Foods go back one at a time so you finish knowing exactly which ones were doing it to you.
8 · Your next 90 days
A written plan for the phase after the reset, whether you carry on working with me or not. A clean slate is only worth having if you know what to build on it.

On doing it properly: twenty-one days is the protocol. There is no shortened version, and no version where you follow half of it — and that is deliberate. Three weeks is the minimum window in which your liver, your gut and your blood sugar all get long enough to actually change.

Fit

Is this for you?

This is for you if
  • You feel inflamed or bloated despite eating well
  • You have stubborn fat that will not shift, no matter what you do in the gym
  • You get fatigue, mood swings or brain fog and have started calling it normal
  • You are recovering from a long stretch of stress, medication use or poor digestion
  • You were told your bloods are fine and you know something is still off
  • You want a true reset — mentally, hormonally and metabolically
  • You will follow a written protocol for 21 days without renegotiating it
This is not for you if
  • You want a training programme and macros
  • You want the scale to move and do not care why
  • You are looking for a diagnosis, or treatment for a diagnosed disease
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding — this is not the right protocol, and I will tell you so
  • You are on medication and unwilling to have your doctor in the loop
  • You want to change nothing and get a different result

I work alongside your doctor. I do not diagnose and I do not prescribe. If I think you need a doctor rather than a practitioner, I will say so before you pay me anything.

This detox was the best thing I ever did and has transformed my body, mind, health and relationship with food.

“I started the liver detox because my body was at the point of rejecting everything I was eating, I felt bloated all the time, my eating habits were not disciplined and I just needed a break from it all. I felt no enjoyment with food and I was also over consuming. Before I started the detox I felt my body was fighting against me and I had lost desire to eat the foods I had been, I didn't even feel like cooking anymore.

During the detox I noticed my bloating had gone, I felt cleaner inside and my body received that vital pause it very much needed. This detox allowed my body to reset and clear itself out. In the first week of the detox I lost 3kg, from 54.3kg to 51.2kg without going to the gym and only consuming healthy meals.

Before the detox my connection with my digestive system was non existent. There was no discipline or awareness of what I was putting into my body. My body now clearly communicates to me what it needs to be nourished and I intuitively eat foods I need. The brain-gut connection has been rewired. My diet has changed from predominantly carbs and fish to healthy vegetarian which is personally for me the aligned transition my body was desperately calling for.

Following the detox I have kept to the eating timetable which has given me the discipline I lacked and ensures I do not over eat. I also now ensure I am getting the right proteins, vegetables, carbs and fruits into my body. My skin is glowing, my bloating has gone, I feel energised and look younger and feel healthier. My sleep has improved vastly too.

This detox was the best thing I ever did and has transformed my body, mind, health and relationship with food. I guarantee it will be the best thing you will do and it is the best gift you can give your body.”

FAQs

Everything I get asked, answered straight. Tap any question to open it.

The protocol

What is the 21-Day Functional Medicine Detox?

A comprehensive, practitioner-guided detoxification programme that gives your body 21 days to reset and clear accumulated toxins. Those toxins are what sit behind stubborn weight gain, bloating, dry skin, brain fog, low mood and hormone imbalance. Twenty-one days is long enough for most people to see several of those shift together, rather than one at a time.

How is this different from a cleanse?

A cleanse restricts. This supports Phase 1 and Phase 2 liver detoxification, so toxins are actually neutralised and eliminated rather than just moved around. That is why the result holds after you finish, instead of returning within a fortnight.

Can I do fewer than 21 days?

No. Twenty-one days is the protocol and I do not run a shortened version. Three weeks is the minimum window in which your liver, your gut and your blood sugar all get long enough to actually change — anything less and you are back to shifting the surface.

Do I repeat the two liquid days each week?

Week one always opens with two liquid days. Repeating them at the start of weeks two and three is optional, and we decide together once I see how you responded to the first week. If fat loss is your main goal, we usually do repeat them.

Does this provide all my meals, or do I still buy groceries?

The shakes are provided — a morning and an afternoon shake for every day of the protocol, and four shakes a day on the liquid days. You buy and prepare your own lunches and dinners for the meal days. You are not left guessing what those are: the meal plan and shopping list are written for you.

Where do I get the food guide and shopping list?

From me. It is not a generic PDF you go and find — it is written for your case after the intake call, adapted to how your household actually eats, and you can hand the shopping list straight to whoever does the food.

How many scoops of powder should I use?

Follow the protocol sheet I give you rather than guessing. As a rule: one scoop per shake, four times a day, on the liquid days. On meal days, two scoops for each of your morning and mid-afternoon shakes.

Can I change the timing of my shakes?

Yes, within reason. If you are up earlier than the times on your sheet, start with lemon water on waking, then take your first shake no earlier than 6am and space the rest three and a half to four hours apart. Keeping the spacing matters more than the exact clock times.

Food and drink

Can I have coffee during the detox?

Giving up coffee and caffeinated tea is the ideal, and expect a withdrawal headache for a day or two if you do. If losing it entirely would make you abandon the whole thing, keep it to one in the morning and we work with that. Caffeine competes for the liver capacity we are trying to free up.

Can I drink anything besides water?

Yes — unsweetened, caffeine-free herbal teas, ginger especially. Avoid coconut water and anything with sugar in it, added or natural.

How much water should I drink?

Roughly 2.5 to 3 litres a day across the protocol. A good part of that is the shakes themselves — each one is around 600 to 700ml. Beyond that, drink when you are thirsty rather than forcing it.

Are nut milks allowed?

Yes. If you cannot manage the powder in plain water, use a 50/50 mix of unsweetened nut milk and water. Coconut milk is fine at one to two teaspoons in a meal or recipe, but your main fats should be monounsaturated — avocado, olive oil — because they are easier to digest than saturated fats.

Can I use herbs and spices?

Yes, season your food properly. One caveat: some, garlic and onion especially, act as a prebiotic and can cause bloating, which slows things down and aggravates an already unhappy gut. If that happens on the meal days, cut back on those two.

Can I use vinegar?

Not during the protocol. It is acidic and can feed yeast or bacterial overgrowth. Use lemon or lime for acidity and flavour instead.

Can I cook my food?

Yes. Avoid cooking in oil — steam, bake, broil, slow cook, or pan-fry in a little water to stop it sticking. Then add a tablespoon or two of olive oil as a dressing afterwards, with a squeeze of lemon.

Can I chew gum?

Ideally not. If you must, make it sugar-free and only straight after a meal — chewing stimulates digestion, which is useful then. Between meals it makes you hungry and makes the whole thing harder than it needs to be.

Can I have sparkling water?

Avoid all carbonated drinks during the 21 days. Once you have finished, sparkling water is fine.

Can I modify it and eat during the first two days?

I would rather you did not — the point of those 48 hours is to give your body time to clear without the work of digesting food. If fat loss is not your main goal, add spinach and blueberries to your shakes. And if you genuinely have to eat, follow the meal-day guidelines instead. Better that than abandoning it.

I am still hungry after day three. Can I add more food?

Yes. Add green leafy vegetables and berries to your shakes. You may lose slightly less that week. You will still get the detox result, and a version you can actually finish beats a version you quit on day five.

Suitability and safety

Is there anyone who should NOT do this?

Yes, and I would rather tell you now than take your money. Speak to your doctor first — and in most cases do not start — if you are under 18, pregnant or breastfeeding, or living with liver or kidney disease, a gallbladder condition, appendicitis, an eating disorder or type 1 diabetes, or if any of your medications could be contraindicated.

Should I continue my prescribed medication?

Yes. Stay on everything your doctor has prescribed. I do not diagnose, I do not prescribe, and I will never ask you to stop or change a medication. What we do check before you start is that nothing in the protocol is contraindicated with what you are already taking.

Can I do this while pregnant or nursing?

No. A detox mobilises stored toxins, and while pregnant or breastfeeding that could expose your child to them. This is the wrong protocol for you right now, and I will tell you so rather than take the booking.

I have a food sensitivity. Can I still do it?

Usually yes. The protocol is already free of gluten, dairy, egg, soy and nuts. If your sensitivity falls outside those, tell me at intake and we check the ingredient labels together before you order anything.

Is it gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, egg-free, nut-free, caffeine-free, vegan?

Yes to all of them. It is built to be free of the major allergens, contains no caffeine, and uses pea and rice protein, so it is suitable for vegans and vegetarians. It is also third-party tested for purity and contains no heavy metals.

I am vegetarian, or I eat mostly South Asian food.

Then you are in the right place. The protocol removes food groups, not your cuisine. I am South Asian myself, so the plan gets built around how your household actually cooks — subtle, practical swaps rather than food that is foreign to you.

How you will feel

Why might I get headaches, fatigue, nausea or skin breakouts?

Two things, and both pass. The first is a Herxheimer reaction — your body releasing stored toxins faster than it can process and eliminate them. The second is simple withdrawal from processed food, caffeine, sugar and alcohol, which hits hardest in the first 48 hours. It is usually gone by the end of day three, and I tell you how to blunt it.

I feel bloated after the shake and supplements. Is that normal?

It is common, and it usually points to weak digestion rather than anything going wrong. Slow the shake right down — sip it over about an hour rather than drinking it quickly. That alone fixes it for most people.

Should I be having daily bowel movements?

Fewer bowel movements on the liquid days is normal — you are drinking, not eating whole food. Once meals come back on day three, things should return to normal. If they do not, we add magnesium citrate and psyllium husk fibre at night to get things moving.

Can I exercise during the detox?

On meal days, yes — strength work, kept sensible, without overdoing it. If this is your first detox, do not train on the liquid days; those 48 hours exist to let the body rest and rejuvenate. If you have done this before and know you have the energy, keep it light and pay attention to how you feel. What we drop for good is the soul-destroying cardio — that was adding to the load, not clearing it.

Can I use an infrared sauna, coffee enema or colonic?

Yes, but time it properly. Do those on the meal days, after the liquid days are behind you, when your body is stronger and better able to handle the extra detoxification load.

The supplements

What if I miss one of the capsules?

Nothing dramatic. Pick up with the next scheduled dose. Do not double up to make it back.

I cannot swallow capsules. Can I open them?

Yes. Open them and mix the powder into your shake, or into a little raw honey or a teaspoon of apple sauce. Fair warning — it tastes bitter, because of the vitamins and herbs in it.

Can I skip the capsules and just do the powder?

No, and here is why. The three components do different jobs. The nutritional support powder is a full multivitamin, mineral, electrolyte and antioxidant formula with mild detox effects on its own. The liver support is what actually drives Phase 1 and Phase 2 detoxification. The third supports bowel motility and brings an anti-inflammatory effect. Drop the capsules and you have a nice shake, not a detox.

Do the products expire?

They carry an expiry date stamped on each one. They are made in small batches, so what you receive is fresh — typically around two years of shelf life.

After the 21 days

Does the weight come straight back?

That is what happens after a cleanse, because nothing underneath changed. Here you finish with a structured reintroduction — foods come back one at a time, so you know exactly which ones were doing it to you — and a written plan for the next 90 days.

How do I maintain my results?

The goal is not just the 21 days, it is that you leave knowing how to eat. Most people keep a daily nutritional shake for breakfast or mid-afternoon as the anchor, and build the rest of the week around what the reintroduction taught them. That is what the clients who keep their results actually do.

What do I eat after the 21 days?

Keep the nutritional shake for breakfast, and start adding berries and other whole foods back in. Lunch can stay plant-based or you can bring paleo-style protein back if you prefer, and dinner follows the same pattern. A snack is optional — another smoothie, a handful of nuts, cut vegetables with guacamole or hummus, a piece of fruit. All of this is written down for you before you finish.

How often can I do the detox?

I recommend running it every quarter, so every three months. Some run it more often if they travel constantly or want to reset after a holiday. Between rounds, a daily nutritional shake keeps the barrel from filling straight back up.

I do not want to lose weight. Can I still do this?

Absolutely, and plenty of people do it for the energy, the digestion and the skin rather than the scale. We add berries and additional fruit and carbohydrate to your plan so you are not in a deficit, and we do the two liquid days once at the start rather than repeating them.

Working with me

What support do I actually get?

Proper practitioner support, not an email sequence. An intake call before anything is ordered, a written protocol built for your case, and a written adjustment from me every week on WhatsApp — what moved, what did not, what changes this week. Plus direct access when something comes up mid-protocol.

Do I need lab testing first?

Not to start. The detox lowers the load regardless, and for many people it is the right first move on its own. If your case points to something that needs measuring, I tell you exactly which panels and why — and you order and pay the lab directly.

I travel and my calendar is not my own.

Most of my clients are senior people who report to somebody. The shakes travel, the meal rules work off any decent menu, and we time the start around the weeks you actually control rather than pretending your diary is flexible.

Still not sure?

That is what the intake call is for. Bring the question you think is going to disqualify you — in my experience it usually turns out to be the reason this is the right first move.

The next step

Stop guessing.
Lower the load first.

You have already tried harder and it did not work. Twenty-one days of the right thing, in the right order, with someone reading your case and adjusting it every week — that is a different proposition entirely.

Every place starts with a short application and an intake call. On that call I will tell you honestly whether this is your right first move. If it is not, I will tell you what is.

Don't take my
word for it
